The Role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Carer Support Worker to join our Carers Support Team within Adult Social Care. 

This is a permanent, full‑time post (37 hours per week), working with carers who support adults, including partners, spouses, relatives, and adult children. The role involves completing statutory Carer Conversations under the Care Act 2014 using Warrington Borough Council’s strengths‑based approach. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Completing Carer Conversations focusing on strengths, resilience, and outcomes 

• Working collaboratively with people to identify what matters to them 

• Undertaking duty functions including screening and prioritising referrals 

• Providing information, advice, guidance, and signposting 

• Responding to situations involving stress or increased caring pressures 

• Liaising with internal teams and external partner agencies 

• Contributing to service development and continuous improvement

Experience and/or qualifications in Social Care are desirable.
