About us

This is an exciting opportunity to join Warrington Borough Council as we move forward with the development of local special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) services working within the SEND team and reporting directly to one of the SEND team managers.

The role

2 x positions

We are looking for a diligent and meticulous Send Casework Officer to support the SEND Team to comply with the requirements set out in the SEND Code of Practice 2014, to support professionals to review, monitor and assess the education, health and care needs of children and young people with SEND. This is a permanent post working 37 hours per week.

What's needed?

You will have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to manage your time efficiently and meet deadlines, especially with regards to statutory timescales for EHCP Annual Reviews and Key Stage Transfers. You will be able to work independently with resilience under pressure. You must have the ability to build positive relationships with parents/carers and children and young people and to demonstrate a high degree of awareness of the needs of service users.
